Each frame is made to order, especially for you. We don't keep them ready made. Nor are we importing container loads from overseas with a warehouse full of them. This adds to the art and charm of our frames. You won't find them in shops. In fact, you won't find them anywhere else. Luckily for us, it's a rare breed that will work as long and as hard as we have to, to hand make these for you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe frame will be the same style as our display pics, but each one will be different. They aren't made from stained timbers that all look identical. That is their beauty! The recycled old timbers have inherent beauty. Nail holes, aging, recycling marks, character...... You name it, we are looking for timbers that look great!\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt makes a perfect gift. It's big enough to be impressive but not to dominate or overwhelm. Just about everyone has photographs which they would like to display on the wall. Family, children, grandchildren, friends, holidays, a stuffed butterfly collection....... The list is endless. It is nice enough and big enough to be a feature. It is small enough and nice enough not to dominate a room! \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular frame is made out of locally sourced Australian recycled hardwood and has been handcrafted by our master-craftsman in the Wombat Frames workshop. This means you will have a quality Eco friendly picture frame that will last a long time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe images are very easy to insert. Strong metal flexi-points hold in the backing board and glass. You bend the flexi tabs to install or change the photos. It is very simple to do. There is a strong nylon hanging cord for hanging. (enough to pull a sailing boat says the wife). The cords go both ways on the back so you can hang it landscape or portrait. Some of our display pics don't show the glass. It's easier to take the photo out doors without having to clean the glass afterwards. But, they all come with the glass. Hand made and not mass produced is our passion!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are a number of different frame looks to choose from:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBrown Gum\u003c\/strong\u003e can be described as having a Medium Brown Colour. This is a Recycled Australian Hardwood. It has a beautiful grain and as it's recycled, also a few nail holes. The richness of the colour and grain are enriched with two coats of danish oil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRed Gum\u003c\/strong\u003e has a similar look to Jarrah, or red Mahogany. It also has a lovely grain and a few nail holes. Features as a result of ageing and recycling are our trademark. Danish oil seals the timber to brings out the colour and grain of the timber.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eShabby Chic White\u003c\/strong\u003e is a pretty antique white flat paint finish which has been slightly sanded back over recycled timber. Our white frames are very popular, especially for the Beachy or Country Cottage look. They will enhance any home decor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWeathered Rustic Grey\u003c\/strong\u003e looks like rustic old fence palings. Years of sun and weather create a patina and appealing natural silvery grey colour.  We don't have to reprocess this timber or treat it. Pictures look wonderful in this. Aboriginal art, Australian landscapes, Black and White pics, .... you name it, they look great!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWombat Happy Frames\u003c\/strong\u003e are made with lots of different colours. We use our recycled timbers and paint on random bright colours. You can specify which colours you want. Most customers are just happy with what comes out. They really add cheer to the home which is why we call this look the Happy Frames. Each frame is made to order, especially for you. We don't keep them ready made. Nor are we importing container loads from overseas with a warehouse full of them. This adds to the art and charm of our frames. You won't find them in shops. In fact, you won't find them anywhere else. Luckily for us, it's a rare breed that will work as long and as hard as we have to, to hand make these for you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe frame will be the same style as our display pics, but each one will be different. They aren't made from stained timbers that all look identical. That is their beauty! The recycled old timbers have inherent beauty. Nail holes, aging, recycling marks, character...... You name it, we are looking for timbers that look great!\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt makes a perfect gift. It's big enough to be impressive but not to dominate or overwhelm. Just about everyone has photographs which they would like to display on the wall. Family, children, grandchildren, friends, holidays, a stuffed butterfly collection....... The list is endless. It is nice enough and big enough to be a feature. It is small enough and nice enough not to dominate a room! \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular frame is made out of locally sourced Australian recycled hardwood and has been handcrafted by our master-craftsman in the Wombat Frames workshop. This means you will have a quality Eco friendly picture frame that will last a long time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe images are very easy to insert. Strong metal flexi-points hold in the backing board and glass. You bend the flexi tabs to install or change the photos. It is very simple to do. There is a strong nylon hanging cord for hanging. (enough to pull a sailing boat says the wife). The cords go both ways on the back so you can hang it landscape or portrait. Some of our display pics don't show the glass. It's easier to take the photo out doors without having to clean the glass afterwards. But, they all come with the glass. Hand made and not mass produced is our passion!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are a number of different frame looks to choose from:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBrown Gum\u003c\/strong\u003e can be described as having a Medium Brown Colour. This is a Recycled Australian Hardwood. It has a beautiful grain and as it's recycled, also a few nail holes. The richness of the colour and grain are enriched with two coats of danish oil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRed Gum\u003c\/strong\u003e has a similar look to Jarrah, or red Mahogany. It also has a lovely grain and a few nail holes. Features as a result of ageing and recycling are our trademark. Danish oil seals the timber to brings out the colour and grain of the timber.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eShabby Chic White\u003c\/strong\u003e is a pretty antique white flat paint finish which has been slightly sanded back over recycled timber. Our white frames are very popular, especially for the Beachy or Country Cottage look. They will enhance any home decor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWeathered Rustic Grey\u003c\/strong\u003e looks like rustic old fence palings. Years of sun and weather create a patina and appealing natural silvery grey colour.  We don't have to reprocess this timber or treat it. Pictures look wonderful in this. Aboriginal art, Australian landscapes, Black and White pics, .... you name it, they look great!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWombat Happy Frames\u003c\/strong\u003e are made with lots of different colours. We use our recycled timbers and paint on random bright colours. You can specify which colours you want. Most customers are just happy with what comes out.
