2024 Update
It's time for another break from our workshop. We are closing until August 2024.- Gabrielle Marlow
Christmas Orders 2023
Thanks for visiting our website and liking our recycled timber photo frames. Wombat Frames are open and busy making for the 2023 Christmas season. Orders are made and sent out as soon as we can. If you are remote or in W. A. or N.T. etc, be sure to order now. Delivery can't be guaranteed if you order after mid November for these further destinations. The courier system just gets overloaded. Gift vouchers are available to purchase on the website too. Type gift into the search bubble on the front page. The eastern sea board areas up to 50 km or so from the coast seem to be the best served by the courier system. Keep that in mind. Eastern cities take a few days. Outback remote cattle stations can take ages. Check that your address comes up in Google maps. The courier system uses that and we can't send your parcel unless the Google maps box is happy. We can't send to Post Office boxes. A 25kg bar fridge may be falling onto your frame via conveyor belt! Oops! And Aust Post don't offer insurance for glass breakages.
Contact us by phone or text if you have any questions or want to get an update. Texting is best as we may not hear the phone if we are busy, busy, busy! We take photos of nearly every frame we make for reference. They all have glass, even if our display pics may not! Again, just ask if you want any more help. Each order is wrapped and sent out by Aramex Couriers. The website will email you a tracking number when it's sent off. You will often (not always) get updates from the courier as your order gets ready for delivery. We insure every order so will repair, replace or refund if there's ever a problem. It happens for less than 1% of orders. Pretty good odds! But stuff does happen. We try our best with our quality frames. Generous packaging and padding is used. We err on the side of too much wrapping! It's a lot of extra work for us to fix things. It's a lot of bother and disappointment for you too! So we really aim to avoid any problems or breakages in delivery.
We'll still be open and making frames in the New Year, too. We aim to head off on our next grey nomad adventure in March next year. We'll keep you posted. After nearly 30 years in small business, Wombat Frames are getting towards the end of 80 plus hours a week hand making our gorgeous photo frames! Last year was a trip out to Uluru and back. This year was a shorter trip to the beach at South West Rocks. Unless we start towing our picture frame workshop with us, we'll be open seasonally until Simon gets the travel bug out of his system.
So, seasons greetings. A Merry Christmas, and a relaxed and enjoyable New Year to you all! Order as soon as you can. Tell your friends too. Be warned, Wombat Frames can be addictive and are great for your positive health, well being and enjoyment of life!
